I saw these relief prints of tree-trunk cross sections by Bryan Nash Gill in the NY Times Magazine yesterday and fell in love. They were described as, "the deathmask of a plant, the sustained rigor mortis" by nature writer Verlyn Klinkenorg, who wrote the introduction to his
book of prints.
