HAWKS WIN!

I'm so excited that the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanly Cup FINALLY after such a long dry spell. I grew up in a house with three brothers and a dad who LOVED hockey. I loved the hawks so much I remember crying at the end of the season when I was a kid. I grew up listening to Pat Foley and Dale Tallon announcing home games on the radio back in the day when Bill Wirtz wouldn't allow the home games to be aired on tv. I remember Wayne Messmer singing the anthem in the old Stadium before the United Center ever existed. Jeremy Roenick, Steve Larmer, Dirk Graham, Chris Chelios, Denis Savard, ah, the good ole days.
It was special for me to watch game four and five with my brother Tony in NYC, and I think I was most thrilled for my dad last night when they won. GO HAWKS!

I actually never watch sports except for one thing I guess and that is the World Cup! Tomorrow we are celebrating with South African food and we are doing bets on every game, which makes it a lot more fun.

Have fun:)

That's awesome! I don't feel worthy enough to be excited about the Stanley Cup because I'm not a hockey fan. But when it's a Chicago team, I'm all about it. I guess you can call me a bandwagon fan. But whatevs. I'm not from here!
